Missions

Seward Road May 28th, 2008

These were the words of Jesus as He sent His disciples into the world to spread the Gospel:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth .”

Missions Ministry Purpose:
To use Jesus’ model for ministry of meeting physical and emotional needs to open the door to meet the spiritual needs of people at home and around the world; and to give members of our church an opportunity be involved in missions by using their gifts.

Missions Ministry Vision:
Because the Bible teaches, “To whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:4)

It is our vision to:
Be effective tools in God’s hands so that our lives and the lives of those we minister to are challenged and impacted for Christ.

Be obedient to follow wherever God leads us to serve.

Give people a literal opportunity to do what Jesus calls us to do: feeding, teaching, healing, loving, caring, praying, worship, and fellowship.

Allow God to grow our church’s heart for doing His work at home and abroad.
